Susan Williams is a designer and researcher investigating the relationship between textiles and architecture. She holds a BFA in Textiles from Rhode Island School of Design and a MArch from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Susan was a researcher specialist at both the MIT Self-Assembly Lab and the MIT Media Lab, where her work was exhibited at MoMa NY. In 2024 she co-edited MIT’s peer-reviewed journal, Thresholds 52: Disappearance. Previously, she worked as a textile designer at Maharam Design Studio.
Currently, she practices architecture in Boston and is a Critic in the Architecture Department at the Rhode Island School of Design.
