Susan Williams is a designer and researcher investigating the relationship between textiles and architecture.

She holds a BFA in Textiles from Rhode Island School of Design and a MArch from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Susan,  was a researcher at the MIT Media Lab and the MIT Self-Assembly Lab. In 2024 she co-edited MIT’s peer-reviewed journal, Thresholds 52: Disappearance.

She previously worked as a textile designer at the Maharam Design Studio and is currently practicing architecture in Boston.
